Progressive underground musicians, DJs, and turntablists come together in performance and deed for genre-bending CD release event.

(SanDiego - August 24th 2003) - On the Urban Beats series' second outing, musician Ryan Blue will perform with Beehive (the human beat box) to drum up support for the release of his new album. After giving us Not A Clue: A Concept Album in late 2002, Blue demonstrated an ability to create original songs and play covers from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Bob Dyan and Bell and Sebastian. The night is slated to be an eclectic evening with collaborative performances by the Mean-Nothings, DJ Dust and special guest turntablists to be announced.
